About BOMA
Mission Statement

The purpose of BOMA Rochester is to actively and responsibly represent the interests of the commercial real estate industry, its management, vendors and related businesses.

This mission will be accomplished through effective leadership and active involvement by providing opportunities to foster business relationships, professional development, dissemination of information and advocacy.

The BOMA Advantage

In today’s economy, everyone needs a competitive edge. You cannot succeed using business-as-usual techniques. Increased contacts, direct access to decision makers, networking opportunities, research, continuing education and legislative and regulatory heads-up alerts are just a few of the benefits gained through membership in the organization that has earned its reputation as the “Cornerstone of the Commercial Real Estate Industry.”

As a federated member of Building Owners and Managers Association—International, the purpose of BOMA Rochester is to actively and responsibly represent the interests of the commercial real estate industry, its management, vendors and related businesses. This mission will be accomplished through effective leadership and active involvement by providing opportunities to foster business relationships, professional development, dissemination of information and advocacy.

BOMA’s proactive approach to shaping issues at the local, regional, and national levels has greatly benefited the economic vitality and long-term fiscal health of the commercial real estate industry. Over the years, the Association’s continuing commitment to provide the best professional education available on management issues has increased the efficiency and profitability of building operations. Your firm should be a valuable member of this impressive team!

For almost 90 years, BOMA has consistently delivered on its commitment to improve the business climate for the entire commercial real estate industry and its suppliers. BOMA has taken the leading role in shaping the implementation of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), in educating and informing government and the public about indoor air quality (IAQ), the phase out of chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), modifications to the commercial real estate tax structure, the inside wiring/riser cable issue, and a host of other issues.

Such efforts have continued to provide a competitive advantage for BOMA members and financially benefited those whose livelihood depends on a strong and profitable commercial real estate industry.
