To host a golf tournament for BOMA members and guests proving an informal, friendly networking opportunity. This years Charity recipient:"The Center for Youth".
Host an annual golf tournament for BOMA members and provide opportunities for a variety of levels of sponsorship
support.
The tournament has been a sellout at Greystone Golf Club for the last six years. The Tournament Presenting Sponsor, Exclusive Par 3, Long Drive & Driving Range Sponsors, Putting Contest, Underwriters and Hole
Sponsors help to support the tournament. Door prizes provide by vendors and participates provide attendees
with an opportunity to win something.
The Golf Tournament's goal is provide a networking opportunity for BOMA members and their guests. Fees are
very low in comparison to other "Charity Tournaments" so the value for players and sponsors is very high.
There are the usual golf contests for men and women. Thanks to our Tournament Co-sponsors who provide Lunch at The Turn and the Beverage Cart. Hors d'oeuvres
and dinner are served after golf.
Several raffles are held to raise money for BOMA's charity; in 2006 it was Puerto Rican Youth Developement and Resource Center, Inc and in 2007 it is Children Awaiting Families. But the highlight of the day
is the Jet Blue Closest to the Pin Contest held immediately after the tournament. The four par three closest to the pin winners qualify to get one shot for a $50,000 hole in one prize. In 2006 we added another popular contest, the sponsored putting challenge has a guaranteed $500 Cash Prize!
Marketing opportunites include:
- Tournament Co-sponsors
- Underwriters
- Hole sponsorships
The BOMA Golf Tournament is a great way for me to entertain our clients and reward some of our employees. The tournament is a Scramble and the goal is to have fun and network, not to win grand prizes! This takes a lot of pressure off all the players and makes for a very enjoyable the day.
